On December 29, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, leaving behind devastating effects in four major cities. The attack caused fires in residential buildings.
During the preparation of the material, information was used from such sources as the Telegram channels of Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, the Kyiv City Council, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy, the head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi, the Sumy OVA, and local Telegram channels in Odessa.
Kyiv: According to local authorities, there were no direct hits in Kyiv, but debris was recorded falling in several areas:
- Svyatoshynskyi district: a multi-story building and cars caught fire.
- Shevchenkivskyi district: damage to a residential building.
- Darnytskyi district: damage to a residential building.
In total, seven injured people were reported in Kyiv and hospitalized.
Lviv: Lviv was attacked twice – first by “shaheeds” and then by rockets. During the second attack, a residential building was hit, there were injuries. Also, a fire broke out in one of the Lviv lyceums, probably due to rocket fragments.
Konotop: In Sumy Oblast, Konotop was hit by a rocket strike, damaging an apartment building and injuring three people.
Odessa: Official information about the consequences of the morning attack in Odessa has not yet been received, but the Internet reports explosions due to air defense and a hit in a high-rise building. Also in the evening of December 28, a house in Odessa was hit by debris from downed kamikaze drones.
Massive attacks by Russian terrorists continue, with explosions heard in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Odessa, Sumy, and Cherkasy regions.
