Russian missiles attacked Kharkiv at night

On the night of May 31, Russian troops fired five S-300/S-400 guided missiles at Kharkiv, launched from the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation. The shelling destroyed a five-story residential building. The tragedy claimed the lives of four people and injured 25 people, including two children. Six more people may still be trapped under the rubble.

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv OVA, Oleg Synegubov.

"One of the missiles hit a five-story residential building, as a result of which the structures from the 3rd to the 5th floors of one of its entrances were completely destroyed. A fire broke out on an area of ​​80 sq.m. The State Emergency Service rescued 6 people from the half-destroyed building, including 1 child.".

Sinegubov reported that as of this morning, four people had died. “Unfortunately, another body was found in the destroyed house. As of now, there are four dead,” he said.

He added that among the 25 victims were two children - a boy and a girl, both 12 years old.

A fire engine and an ambulance were also damaged as a result of the repeated shelling at 00:15. In addition, a man born in 1959 died as a result of a missile hitting the ground on the territory of a civilian enterprise.

Another hit was in a three-story administrative building.

According to Volodymyr Tymoshka, head of the Kharkiv Regional Police Department, the enemy used double-strike tactics to inflict the most damage.

It is reported that 6 more people may be trapped under the rubble. Emergency and rescue operations at the site of the destroyed residential building are ongoing.
