Russian troops partially pushed back units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the state border in the Velyky Burlutsk direction, making a shallow but long advance, said Viktor Tregubov, head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Group.
According to Viktor Tregubov, attacks by Russian units in the Velyky Burluk direction have been ongoing for some time now, and the enemy has managed to "slightly push Ukrainian forces away from the border" and enter from the border side — "shallow, but long enough." He suggested that the occupiers are probably trying to secure bridgeheads for further actions — either in the direction of Kupyansk from the north, or in the direction of Velyky Burluk.
Despite the partial advance, Tregubov emphasized that Ukrainian troops continue to hold the defense and restrain the enemy's onslaught. The Velyky Burlutsk direction remains one of the hottest sections of the front in the Kharkiv region, where fighting continues and the opposing side is trying to improve tactical positions after previous unsuccessful breakthrough attempts.
Official details regarding losses and exact lines of advance have not yet been made public. The Joint Forces Operation Command urges not to spread unverified information and to wait for official reports for a complete picture of the situation on the front line.
