According to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian forces have begun preparations to resume their offensive in the Kamianka sector in Zaporizhia Oblast. They are intensively advancing on this area, carrying out air strikes and ground attacks.
Ukrainian forces also launched a counterattack north and northeast of Kharkiv that day. Russian forces are reportedly attacking Ukrainian positions with small groups of infantry, supported by drones, artillery, aircraft, and armored vehicles.
As of June 22, Russian troops continue their offensive in the Siversky direction. Although the front line has not yet undergone significant changes, they are advancing successfully. The Russians have also been active in the Chasovoye Yar area, advancing eastward.
As a result of Russian aggression, Svatove, Avdiivka, and Shumy are now under the control of the occupiers.
Ground attacks by militants continue in the Donetsk-Zaporizhzhya region. So far, there have been no confirmed changes to the front line, but Russian forces are actively increasing airstrikes and ground attacks near Kamianske.
According to ISW, Russian forces may soon resume offensive operations in the area, as evidenced by the intensive use of cruise bombs and the increasing activity of ground attacks.
Also on June 21 and 22, fighting continued on the left bank of the Kherson region, in particular near Kryny and the islands in the floodplain of the Dnieper River.
