Mass poisoning at the Chinese Hello Restaurant in Lviv, which belongs to the famous Ukrainian restaurateur Mishi Katsurin, has gained widespread resonance. According to the State Consumer Service, numerous violations of sanitary standards were found in the institution. According to the latest official data, 76 people were hospitalized after visiting the restaurant, including 10 children and two pregnant women.
The results of laboratory tests confirmed the presence of a dangerous bacterium Salmonella Enteritidis in 25 victims of visitors and one employee of the institution.
During the restaurant check, inspectors recorded a number of gross violations:

The inventory of confectionery, meat and vegetable shops washed together, which is contrary to hygiene standards;

The rules of storage of kitchen equipment were violated - there were no corresponding containers with lids;

bulk products were stored in the corridor of the basement, and a violation of the neighborhood was recorded in the refrigerator;

cleaning equipment was stored without marking and proper organization;

There are no logs of temperature control of products.
In addition, out of 23 employees of the institution, 16 did not have medical books, which is a direct violation of the requirements for food staff.
Misha Katsurin himself said he also fell victim to poisoning at his own restaurant. The incident happened on the opening day of the institution - July 16.
Police opened criminal proceedings on violation of sanitary rules and regulations. The guilty threatens punishment - from a fine of 17 thousand hryvnias to three years of imprisonment.
Investigative actions are ongoing. The institution is expected to resume until the investigation is completed.
