The anti-corruption prosecutor's office of Ukraine initiates the procedure to confiscate the property of Yevhen Zhuk, the head of the 3rd department of the National Police's Narcotics Control Department, noting that his assets are unfounded. This information became known in the context of the appeal of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), which decided to initiate legal procedures regarding the property of a high-ranking official.
This is stated in the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court dated July 17.
On July 15, the High Anti-Corruption Court received an application to secure a claim before the SAP prosecutor filed a claim against persons who may acquire the status of defendants, namely: Yevhen Zhuk and Tetyana Kinder, regarding the recognition of assets in the amount of UAH 4,470,868.17 as unsubstantiated. The SAP requests that the following property be recognized as unfounded and confiscated: five non-residential premises (3.3, 4.1, 4.9, 5.2 and 7.1 square meters), an apartment with an area of 73.4 square meters and a Land Rover car 2013 Discovery. The SAP also requested the seizure of this property as security for the claim.
"Satisfy the application of the SAP prosecutor to secure a lawsuit before filing a lawsuit by the SAP prosecutor against persons who may acquire the status of defendants, namely: Zhuka, Kinder, regarding the recognition of assets as unsubstantiated. To seize the property: an apartment, five non-residential premises and a 2013 Land Rover Discovery car ," the decision reads.
