The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) has filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court demanding the confiscation of the property of Deputy Minister of Health and Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Ihor Kuzin. The case concerns two land plots and two residential buildings in the Kyiv region.
According to the prosecutor's office, the Supreme Court of Ukraine has seized land with an area of 0.2 and 0.145 hectares, as well as houses with an area of 98.8 and 105.1 sq. m in the villages of Stari Bezradichi and Tarasivka, Obukhiv district.
In September, the SAPO prosecutor filed a lawsuit to declare these assets unfounded and confiscate them as state revenue. The total value of the property is estimated at over UAH 3.2 million.
The SAPO claims that an analysis of Kuzin's income and expenses showed that he could not have purchased this property from legitimate sources of income.
Within the framework of the same proceedings, prosecutors also filed a lawsuit against the head of the Ukrainian National Police's Criminal Investigation Department in Kyiv, Ivan Karabitsa, his wife Olena, and his cousin Oleksandr Peslyak.
According to the investigation, they became owners of Volkswagen Passat (2021), Volkswagen Touareg (2022), BMW 330I (2022), as well as UAH 1.27 million in cash. The value of these assets exceeds UAH 6 million, but the family did not have official income to purchase them.
