The warming that has engulfed Ukraine in recent days is beginning to come to an end. Forecasters predict that by the weekend the temperature will drop again, and the weather will become more wintry. As forecaster Natalka Didenko notes, the temperature in Kyiv today will be +3...+5 degrees, and on January 10, the capital is expected to warm up to +7 degrees. However, already on January 11-12, the temperature will drop, and a cold wave will cover Ukraine.
Forecaster Ihor Kibalchich adds that weather conditions will change in Ukraine over the weekend. Rains are expected, which will turn into snow in some places, and even blizzards. On Friday, light rains may pass in the western regions, and fog is also possible. The wind will be moderate, with a speed of 5–10 m/s.
On Saturday, the situation will worsen, and in the western regions the rain will change to sleet, which can lead to icy roads. Similar weather conditions will spread to the northern and central regions of the country. The wind will increase, and the temperature will drop to -1...+4 °С in the western regions, and to +2...+7 °С in the rest of the territory.
The night from Saturday to Sunday will bring rain and sleet in the southern, central and northern regions, and during the day precipitation is likely mainly in the northeast. Warm weather will remain in Crimea and the Azov region, up to +10 °C.
So, already in the coming days, winter precipitation and a drop in temperature are waiting for Ukrainians.
