The Security Service of Ukraine prevented a terrorist attack prepared by the Russian special services and detained their agent, who was supposed to detonate an explosive device near the Territorial Procurement Center (TCK) in Kherson. However, as it turned out, the FSB intended to eliminate its own perpetrator, using him "in the dark.".
According to the SBU, the detained person was an unemployed resident of Cherkasy, who came to the attention of Russian special services through Telegram channels with ads for "easy money." Initially, he was assigned to set fire to Ukrzaliznytsia facilities in the Cherkasy region.
After he “successfully” completed these test tasks, he was sent to Kherson with a much more serious mission. He was ordered to leave a bag with explosives at the entrance to the Trade Center, after which he would receive instructions on what to do next.
Instead, at this moment, the FSB was preparing to remotely blow up its agent along with the device, turning him into a disposable “living suicide bomber.”.
Ukrainian intelligence services worked ahead of time. The enemy agent was caught red-handed while he was carrying out the instructions of his Russian handlers.
He has now been notified of suspicion under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

Part 2 of Article 113 (sabotage committed under martial law);

Part 2 of Article 15, Part 2 of Article 258 (attempt to commit a terrorist act).
For this he faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
This case is yet another proof that Russian intelligence services view their agents as “expendable material.” They not only use Ukrainian citizens for sabotage work, but also physically eliminate them to cover up the traces of their crimes.
The SBU calls on citizens to be vigilant and not to be led astray by suspicious job offers on Telegram or other social networks. Any cooperation with the FSB is not only treason, but also a direct threat to life.
