The Security Service of Ukraine announced the suspicion of collaborator Roman Khytushchenko, who works in the close circle of the Kremlin's instrumentality, in ensuring the mass production of drones for the Russian army.
According to the information received, Khytushchenko, who held the position of "first deputy minister of economic development" in the so-called "government of Crimea", coordinated the creation of an industrial base for the production of military drones in the temporarily occupied territory.
According to the investigation, in June 2023 Khytushchenko joined a special group that established a technological base in Sevastopol for the production of drones. This project involved the creation of various types of drones, including strike and reconnaissance.
The tested drones were soon to be sent to advanced positions of the Russian military on the southern front.
To ensure uninterrupted production, the collaborator personally reported his activities to local leader Serhiy Aksyonov and sent reports to Moscow.
According to the investigation, Khytushchenko, who was distinguished by his loyalty to the Russian occupiers, was quickly included in the occupation administration and promoted to the position of "first deputy". He actively contributed to the reorientation of the Crimean economy to the needs of the military-industrial complex and the Russian military.
With the help of the collected evidence, the Security Service notified Khytushchenko of the suspicion of collaboration, in particular in accordance with Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Considering the fact that he is in the occupied territory, measures are being taken to bring him to justice for crimes against the state.
The investigation was carried out by SBU employees in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea with the participation of the prosecutor's office in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
