SBU exposed a fake disability scheme in Vinnytsia region

The Security Service of Ukraine has launched an investigation into a large-scale scheme of illegal disability in Vinnytsia region. According to preliminary data, 24 people, including both doctors and officials, were given disability groups II and III.

Some "patients" were granted disability during martial law, some for life. According to the investigation, it may be a case of falsifying medical reports in exchange for bribes. The goal is to avoid mobilization and obtain permission to travel abroad.

Under suspicion are also employees of medical and social expert commissions (MSEC), who could have facilitated the preparation of fictitious documents. All cases have been transferred for verification to the specialized institute of the Ministry of Health in Dnipro. If unfoundedness is found, the disability will be canceled.

An investigation has been opened under the article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Violators face up to 8 years in prison.

The SBU continues the investigation, and it is possible that the number of suspects may increase.
