In the Lviv region, the Security Service of Ukraine detained the Major of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces, which was the agent of the Russian FSB. The military collected reconnaissance information about the Ukrainian aviation infrastructure for the transfer of the enemy. This was officially reported by the SBU.
According to the investigation, the traitor was recruited because of his former wife - also a former military, who after the occupation remained in Melitopol and began to cooperate with the Russians. The agent activity itself was coordinated by an officer of the elite unit "Alfa" of the FSB - personnel employee Alexander Belodedov.
The main goal of the spy is to collect coordinates of Ukrainian airfields, logistics centers, hangars and base maintenance of combat aviation. These data were planned to be used by the occupiers for rocket and drone strikes on the critical air forces infrastructure.
However, Russian intelligence plans were torn apart: the SBU's military counterintelligence together with the Armed Forces Commissariator found and documented criminal activities, recorded contacts with the FSB agents and detained the traitor.
The SBU also conducted additional measures to protect all objects to which the enemy could try to access.
Currently, the major has been informed of suspicion of state treason, committed by prior conspiracy in the conditions of martial law (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was arrested. If guilty is proved - he is threatened with life imprisonment with the confiscation of property.
Separately, his ex -wife, who is currently in the occupied territory, received his suspicion in the state community.
The special operation was carried out under the procedural guidance of the Attorney General's office.
