Former officials of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and two excluders of the defense enterprise were suspected of supplying the army of unusable weapons. This was reported by the Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.
These are anti -tank missile units that were to increase the defense capability of the Armed Forces, but were unusable. As a result of the suspects, the state suffered losses of over 90 million hryvnias.
The Investigative Directorate of the SBU under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's office is investigating. The operational support is carried out by the Department of Military Counterintelligence.
The investigation found that the defendants of the case participated in the scheme of supply of defective products. The installations were transferred to the Defense Ministry, despite the fact that they did not meet the technical characteristics and could not be used as intended.
The persons involved in suspicions were immediately under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

Part 2 of Art. 114-1-Transfer or assembly to transmit information in martial law,

Part 5 of Art. 191 - appropriation or misappropriation of property in particularly large sizes,

Part 2 of Art. 366 - Service forgery that has caused serious consequences.
Investigative actions are ongoing. Law enforcement officers check who could still be involved in this scheme.
