The SBU exposed Russian agents in Kiev: spies corrected strokes in defensive factories

The Security Service of Ukraine eliminated an agent group of Russian military intelligence that operated in Kiev and gathered information to adjust rocket strikes. As a result of the special operation, three people were detained, including a Russian citizen.

According to the SBU, the main task of the agents was to adjust air strikes in the capital. The main goals of the Russians were defense enterprises, warehouses with weapons and ammunition forces forces of Ukraine.

The Russian spy arrived in Ukraine long before the start of a full -scale invasion and was in "standby mode". After activating his task, it was to monitor the objects of strategic importance. To do this, he arranged a observation post on the roof of a high -rise building in Kiev.

Two more detainees are employees of defense enterprises. One of them collected data on the consequences of Russian shelling, the number of employees at factories and repair bases. The other - because of his former colleagues, he tried to get information about the locations of important military facilities.

During the searches, law enforcement officers seized:

  • Technique and telephones with reports on the information collected,

  • drone that was planned to use for intelligence.

The attackers have been charged with state treason, espionage and justification of Russian aggression. Two agents are already in custody, and the third is proceeding with a trial.

The SBU continues to identify a hostile agency in Ukraine and calls for citizens to report suspicious persons who can cooperate with the occupiers.
