SBU detained a politician for demanding 1 million dollars for solving land issues in KMDA

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained a well-known politician and lawyer in Kyiv for demanding a bribe of $1 million. In exchange for the specified sum, the politician promised to resolve land issues for the businessman, in particular, to ensure the lease of a plot in the recreational part of Kyiv near the Dnipro, which belongs to the Kyiv community.

Law enforcement officers detained the accused at the scene of the crime, when they handed him a $900,000 "advance" for his services. This amount became part of the planned million, which he demanded for the solution of the land issue.

The suspect faces up to 12 years in prison for extorting and receiving a large bribe. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing, and the SBU continues its investigation.
