Ukrainians are being warned about a new scam campaign masquerading as the popular EVA chain of stores. Scammers are sending users messages about a fictional raffle with a supposedly guaranteed gift of 1,500 hryvnias.
As reported by BRAMA, in order to receive the “winnings,” a person is offered to complete a short online survey. Then, they are asked to enter personal information: name, phone number, and in some cases, even bank card details. In this way, the scammers gain access to the victim’s personal and financial data.
EVA does not conduct any such campaigns. This is confirmed by official representatives of the company. The message that is being sent en masse to Ukrainians is a typical phishing scam.
Cyber experts warn: do not click on suspicious links, even if they look plausible. If you have already entered your details, immediately contact your bank and notify the cyber police.
