In the Lviv region, a brutal attack took place on artists of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Song and Dance Ensemble "Hutsuliya". The incident occurred near Sheptytskyi, when the group was returning home after a tour in Poland and Finland.
According to the ensemble, their bus stopped at a gas station, where the artists were attacked by a group of young men — about six boys and three girls. According to the band members, the attackers behaved aggressively and were in an “inadequate state.” They scattered the artists’ personal belongings and then inflicted numerous bodily injuries on them.
As a result of the attack, three members of the ensemble suffered serious injuries: broken noses, bruises, a concussion, and a displaced fracture. The victims emphasize that the police who arrived at the scene did not actually intervene in the situation and were unable to stop the aggressors.
The "Hutsulia" band has now sought medical attention and is awaiting a legal assessment of the events. The band members are calling on law enforcement agencies to conduct an objective investigation and bring the attackers to justice. The public is also expressing outrage at the police's inaction and demanding an official investigation.
The incident has already caused a wide public outcry, as it is an attack on a state professional team that represents Ukrainian culture abroad.
