A scandal erupted in the Odessa City Council over the disappearance of a significant amount of money allocated for clearing debris after flights arrived at the Odessa port. The crime became known during the analysis of financial documents, which confirmed that 3 million hryvnias allocated for this work disappeared from the city budget.
Nothing is sacred: the war has become a gold mine for Odessa officials.
Thus, at the end of 2023, the Odessa Department of Landscaping was tasked with eliminating the consequences of a missile strike on a port infrastructure facility - the grain terminals destroyed by a missile strike. According to the estimate declared by the contractor for the work, LLC "MOLLBUD", this is UAH 13.5 million. The amount is more than solid, especially considering that it is about clearing rubble, and not about any restoration. However, the Department of Landscaping, headed by former police officer Oleksandr Ilyin, fulfilled all financial obligations.
In fact, it turned out that the work was not completed in full, some of the structures were not dismantled, and the State Audit Service revealed a waste of 3.2 million UAH. The cunning Ilyin blames everything on the individual entrepreneur “Gubar”, who undertook to perform technical inspection, because there are no such specialists in the structure of the improvement department, but people say that this is nothing more than another waste of money on someone else's mountain. And how many arrivals were there in Odessa, after which it was necessary to rake up rubble? That's it.
A wonderful topic. Who cares about war, but Ilyin has his own mother…
