In the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, a high-profile construction project is underway at the intersection of Hryhorenko Avenue and Olena Pchilka Street, which locals believe is a fast food facility. Despite this, the permits and passport of the facility indicate that it is about the construction of underground and surface parking.
In May 2025, the company “Techconsulting” LLC, which is the customer of the development, filed a lawsuit with the Commercial Court of Kyiv to protect business reputation against “Stop Corruption TV” LLC and the NGO “All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Stop Corruption”. The company demanded to refute information about the allegedly illegal construction of a fast food restaurant under the guise of a parking lot.
However, the lawsuit remained unconsidered due to the failure of representatives of Techconsulting LLC to appear at the court hearings. Thus, on August 21, the company ignored the court hearing for the second time, and the court finally left the application without consideration.
What is known about the construction:
-
The land plot with an area of over 0.3 hectares is municipal property and is intended for servicing road transport.
-
The building permit and the facility's passport clearly indicate a parking lot, not a restaurant.
-
Local residents fear that a well-known brand restaurant could open on this site, as the building visually resembles a fast food restaurant.
-
The company “Techconsulting” LLC received the right to lease the plot according to the agreement dated 08.02.2019.
The situation continues to cause concern among residents of Poznyaki, and StopKor promises to monitor the progress of construction and the facility's compliance with its stated purpose.
