Former head of the Kharkiv region prosecutor's office, Amil Omarov, is applying for a position in the Kyiv District Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv, despite scandalous connections and conflicts of interest.
According to sources, Omarov seeks to remain in the system to cover up his uncle's business, the company Khazar LTD, which receives profits from inflated prices for the supply of products to municipal and state institutions.
Amil Omarov is applying for the position vacated by Andriy Yakovlev, known for collecting "ransoms" and boasting about his connections in the General Inspectorate of the Prosecutor General's Office. Simultaneously with Yakovlev's dismissal, First Deputy Prosecutor Ivan Tarasov and Deputy Prosecutor of the region Vladyslav Hryuk submitted their resignations.
Sources emphasize that it is better to submit applications in Ukrainian and check for grammar before sending to avoid misunderstandings. In the past, there have been situations where communication between system employees was accompanied by obscene language.
The case involving Omarov and his family business is currently closed. Full information about the revealed schemes will be published separately. The public and experts expect the new leadership to take effective action and restore order in frontline Kharkiv.
