The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, together with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, has launched an investigation into MP Ihor Molotok. The investigation is examining alleged illegal enrichment, false declarations, and concealment of the actual use of an elite car.
As part of the criminal proceedings, law enforcement officers conducted searches in Molotok's own house, as well as in the apartments of his roommate Yana Shevchenko and her stepfather. Particular attention was paid to the financial assets of the MP's inner circle, which, according to the investigation, may be related to the origin of dubious wealth.
Among the objects of the inspection is a 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser, which Molotok used, but did not indicate it in the declaration. The source of funds for the purchase of expensive real estate of Shevchenko and her relatives is also being investigated.
Yana Shevchenko, despite a meager official income of UAH 1.85 million from 1998 to 2025, declared $320,000 and €55,000 in cash. Her stepfather and mother, who together earned UAH 3.38 million during the same period, also own luxury real estate in the capital.
In particular, since 2019, Shevchenko has owned an apartment in Kyiv with an area of 100.4 sq. m worth over 6.2 million UAH. And her stepfather in 2025 bought another apartment with an area of 136.7 sq. m for over 13 million UAH. On the day of the transaction, he issued a power of attorney to manage this property for Shevchenko and the assistant to the People's Deputy.
The investigation is ongoing. NABU is establishing the sources of origin of the funds, as well as verifying the legality of the acquisition and use of property that may belong to Ihor Molotok through front persons.
