According to the well-known film director and serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleg Sentsov, Ukraine should prepare for the possibility of a protracted war that could last up to 10 years. His statement came to the fore after an interview with Radio Liberty, where he discussed the current geopolitical situation and the prospects of the Ukrainian conflict.
“We need to stop burying our heads in the sand. At first there were talks about two weeks, about two months, then about two years. We need to prepare for a war for 10 years. If we are ready for a war for 10 years, and it ends earlier, then we have won and done everything right,” Oleg Sentsov noted.
In his opinion, Ukraine must understand that the war against the Russian Federation is complex, serious, and will last a long time, so everyone needs to prepare.
“All men will serve, we need to demobilize, rotate, to put the country on military rails and invest money in defense and production, and not to build new asphalt or stadiums,” the director expressed his opinion. Oleg Sentsov warned that if Ukrainians live like today, it will not end well for us.
