The average salary in Ukraine is increasing in 2025, but the gap between the regions remains significant. The largest income is traditionally fixed in the capital, while residents of a number of regional centers still receive less than a national figure.
In Kiev, the average wage has reached 30 thousand hryvnias - the highest result in the country. Over the last 12 months, the figure has increased by 23%, which is one of the most dynamic growths.
Uzhgorod was unexpectedly taken by Kyiv's closest competitor. The average salary here reached 25 thousand hryvnias, which is 25% more than last year. It seems that the border location and activity of small businesses have positively affected the income of the local population.
Lviv and Odesa also got into the group of cities with a relatively high level of remuneration. Here the average salary is 24 thousand hryvnias. Annual growth - 19% in Lviv and 20% in Odessa.
A little lower performance shows large industrial and administrative centers:
-
In the Dnieper, the average income is 24 thousand hryvnias.
-
In Kharkiv - 22 300 UAH.
-
In Vinnitsa, Khmelnitsky and Rivne - from 22 to 22.5 thousand UAH.
-
Zaporozhye is slightly behind 20 thousand hryvnias.
The least attractive in terms of income was the situation in Sumy, where the average salary does not exceed 18 500 UAH.
In total, the average earnings have reached 25 thousand hryvnias in the country. Despite the positive dynamics, the difference between regions indicates uneven economic recovery and different level of business activity after a military downturn.
