Serhii Derevyanchenko entered the famous boxing nomination of the year

In the ranking of the most important events in the world of boxing, the achievements of Ukrainian boxer Serhiy Derevyanchenko are now recognized. According to the summaries of the ESPN portal, the best fight of 2023 was the second middleweight fight between Derevyanchenko and the Mexican Jaime Mungui.

Despite the fact that the Ukrainian was defeated by a unanimous decision of the judges, his performance was recognized as outstanding this year. However, in the "Fighter of the Year" nomination, the publication awarded the prize for the title of absolute world champion in the second lightweight to the Japanese Naoi Inoue.

Naoya Inoue, finishing his fight with Marlon Tapales by knockout on December 26, became the second absolute champion of the world in two weight categories in the era of four belts.
