Parliament.ua , Ukrainian military and public activist Sergei Gnezdilov shared his vision of the problem of mobilization, inequalities in the configuration of the troops and delayed decisions of the state.
Mobilization and public responsibility
According to Gnezdilov, without effective mobilization measures it is impossible to introduce clear service life or rotation:
"You can say to society:" Someone there is fighting for you and he will fight "is one thing. And when we say that "war is a long time, it is an existential war, and everyone will have to fight" is another, and it is true. The truth is that the Israeli principle of mobilization of society is the only correct in our situation. ”
At the same time, he emphasizes that state policy forms a misconception about the war:
"The authorities have chosen another way: they began to tell that" here are our boys, they are fighting, they are heroes, "and at the same time launched a system of broad booking, invented terms such as" economic "," cultural "and other fronts. This has made serious risks, the result of which we now see. ”
18-year-old mobilization and inequality in the army
Gnesdilov is skeptical of a possible decrease in mobilization age:
“Freshly publicized conditions for the probable" mobilization of 18 years "are just a deepening of the crisis. The reaction of the military on social networks shows the obvious that it will not solve the problem. After all, in the army, many people who have been serving for a long time and see inequality in involving citizens in the army. ”
He believes that the state is trying to avoid unpopular decisions:
"Instead of saying," Yes, we reduce the mobilization bar, for example, by the age of 21, "the authorities begin to play games such as" voluntary mobilization ". This creates risks. ”
Gnezdilov also expressed doubts about the effectiveness of new contract conditions:
“The signing of short -term annual contracts is unclear how it will work. For example, my contract is by the end of martial law. And here a person signs - and he already has a clear life. But how will it be realized? ”
Problems of reform of VLK
According to the military, the reform of the Military Medical Commissions (VLK) solved the problem only partially:
“The specialists of the medical and social commission are now appointed anonymously, and the client does not know who will consider his issue. But this is a late solution. Everyone who could have already paid and left. ”
He emphasizes that system problems are solved only after loud scandals:
“We could introduce an electronic system much earlier - but they did so only after numerous scandals. We do not ahead of the problem, but we react to them postfactum. We do not have a clear plan - we are chaotically adjusting it, and this is our biggest problem. ”
