Serhii Mamedov wants to sit down Pyshny and become the head of the NBU

According to sources, Serhii Mamedov plans to compete for the chair of the head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), currently occupied by Andrii Pyshny. The last years were financially successful for Mammadov, which gave him the confidence and ambition to obtain a high state position. His successes in the field of financial instruments, particularly in certificates of deposit, strengthened his position in the financial environment.

Who is Sergey Mamedov?

Serhiy Mamedov is a classmate of Denys Maltsev, who once baptized Mamedov's son. Mamedov's career has always been connected with the banking sphere, and his partnership with Maltsev became one of the key stages in his professional growth. In particular, they worked together at the Globus bank, which was actually managed by Maltsev.

The key moment in the relationship between Mamedov and Maltsev was the conflict when, according to sources, Mamedov forged signatures and illegally seized a stake in Globus Bank after the start of the persecution of Maltsev in Ukraine. In addition, Mammadov took possession of significant financial assets and projects of his friend while he was in Vienna.

During the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych, Serhii Mamedov was known as a confidant of the "family", working under the instructions of such high-ranking officials as Yuriy Kolobov (Minister of Finance), Oleksandr Klymenko (Minister of Revenue and Duties) and Serhiy Arbuzov (Chairman of the NBU). During this period, Mammadov was appointed chairman of the board of Ukrgasbank.

The fight for the chair of Pyshny

Having received significant resources, Mammadov decided to spend part of his funds on a campaign against Andrii Pyshnyi to replace him as the head of the National Bank of Ukraine. According to the sources, Mammadov is actively preparing for this struggle, using his connections and financial opportunities to secure the support of the highest echelons of power.

Whether Mammadov will be able to achieve his ambitions and take the chair of the head of the NBU remains an open question
