Yesterday, a scandalous event took place in the "Rulka" restaurant in Prykarpattia, connected with an attack on journalists. Serhii Sayiv, the head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, attacked representatives of the StopCor journalistic investigative project.
Instead of frank answers to journalists' questions - frank aggression. The media came to Prykarpattia to interrogate the official regarding his declared wealth and possible business connections.
According to insider information, which the editorial office received from its own sources, every Thursday in the evening Saiv allegedly holds "working meetings" with district leaders in this institution in the village of Dzvynyach.
In addition, in the spring of this year Serhii Stepanovych published his own declaration of income in 2023. From this document it became known that the head of the migration service of Prykarpattia owns a house with a plot of land in the village of Dzvynyach and a trailer "Dniester".
But the wife of official Bohdan Saiv declared more than a million hryvnias of income from entrepreneurial activity, 756 thousand hryvnias. salaries at S-Capital LLC, UAH 235,000 in payments from Prykarpatenergotrade and almost UAH 720,000. income from leasing land. In addition, Bohdana Saiv owns 8 plots of land, 4 apartments, 2 houses, as well as premises of a shopping complex, industrial buildings and non-residential premises.
Arriving at the restaurant, StopCor journalists recorded on video how Serhiy Saiv arrived there in a Tesla car, which is not in his official declaration.
The official got out of the car with a large stack of papers in his hands. It is noteworthy that according to the payment document (cheque), the facility probably belongs to the son of the head of the Prykarpattia State Police (Saiv O.S.). However, the civil servant himself told journalists that he does not seem to know who the owner of "Rulka" is.
Moreover, upon seeing the film crew, Serhiy Stepanovych began to hide from the reporters, and then suddenly pounced on the media and knocked the camera out of the operator's hands, which stopped working after he hit it.
" Our group worked according to the editorial task. They wanted to ask Mr. Saiva several questions - first of all, regarding his considerable real estate. And also about the weekly meetings in this restaurant of his subordinates. They found Serhiy Stepanovich in the institution during the working day. At the beginning of the conversation, we introduced ourselves, showed ID cards and a microphone with the name of our media written on it. To which he reacted aggressively by attacking and hitting the camera, which is an obstacle to the journalist's legitimate professional activity Ihor Dotsenko said from the scene .
Currently, a police group called by the cattle rustlers has arrived at the scene of the incident. Serhii Saiv himself hid in a restaurant. Law enforcement officers from police department No. 2 (Bohorodchany) of the Ivano-Frankivsk district police department of the State Police of the Ivano-Frankivsk region received and registered under the number ЕО 2288 dated 07/18/24 a statement on the fact of an attack on journalists.
