The Rokytnivsky District Court found guilty of master-stateist Ivan H. in abuse of influence. The serviceman demanded a bribe from his subordinate for the exception of a business trip to the war zone. For this he was assigned a fine of 68 thousand hryvnias.
As stated in the sentence of June 19, the events unfolded in July 2023 in the village of Berezove in Rivne region. There, the master-assistant offered a senior soldier who was under his leadership, for 4000 dollars to "decide the issue" about withdrawal from another rotation to the Donetsk region.
The soldier refused to pay. Instead, on October 31, it was transferred to the rapid response commandments and then sent to the war zone. After that, the sergeant did not stop - from February 15 to February 22, 2024 he repeatedly called the subordinate and again offered to return him from the front for the same $ 4,000.
In court, Ivan H. pleaded guilty and cooperated with the investigation. Judge Alla Komsyuk qualified actions as an abuse of influence committed by a prior conspiracy by a group of persons (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The penalty was a penalty of UAH 68 thousand. This decision can still be appealed.
