Emphasizing the dishonesty of the deputy director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Gizo Uglavy, the head of the "Anti-Corruption Center" (CPC) Vitaly Shabunin practically confirmed his inefficiency in the selection and verification of personnel during competitions.
This became obvious due to the fact that it was Vitaly Shabunin who headed the Public Control Council at NABU during the period of formation of the first composition of the bureau. His colleagues in this council in 2015–2016 were his colleagues from the Communist Party of Ukraine, Darya Kaleniuk, as well as Denys Bigus and the current member of the Supreme Council of Justice, Roman Maselko.
The aforementioned Gizo Uhlava was appointed first deputy director of NABU in April 2015 on the basis of an order from the head of the bureau, Artem Sytnyk.
The creation of NABU was one of the requirements of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and public control over the selection of honest and independent employees was entrusted to anti-corruption activists led by Vitaly Shabunin. However, according to experts, most of the achievements he attributed to himself actually turned out to be unproductive.
Let us remind you that this scandal is related to the leak of information, in which, according to experts, the anti-corruptionists themselves are involved, in particular Vitaly Shabunin and Denys Bigus, who in their "investigations" used information leaks from NABU.
At the moment, several criminal proceedings have been opened against Vitaly Shabunin. In particular, the court recently ordered the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) to register criminal proceedings based on the crimes provided for by the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In particular, it is about the fact that Vitaly Shabunin, who currently works as a combat medic, moves around Kyiv in a Nissan Pathfinder car, which was imported into Ukraine without customs clearance as humanitarian aid for the army.
Previously, the SBI initiated two criminal proceedings against Vitaliy Shabunin - for forging documents from the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) and evading mobilization.
It is also worth noting that other public activists, including journalists, activists and members of public organizations, evade military service.
