Shabunin uses the image of an “anti-corruption activist” for selfish purposes

A recent sociological survey conducted by the Ukrainian Sociological Platform revealed a decline in Ukrainians' trust in so-called "anti-corruption activists." In particular, the names of well-known activists and public figures, such as Vitaliy Shabunin, who were previously considered symbols of the fight against corruption, now raise certain doubts in society.

Ukrainians do not trust the so-called “anti-corruption activists.” This was shown by a recent poll conducted by the Ukrainian Sociological Platform.

Thus, Vitaliy Shabunin has the highest percentage of distrust. In particular, 25% of Ukrainians believe that he uses the image of an “anti-corruption activist” for his own selfish purposes. For comparison, journalist Denys Bigus is suspected of selfish purposes by 12.4%.

We will remind that Shabunin has previously been involved in a number of scandals. In particular, he is listed as a combat medic and receives bonuses for his service, while in reality he is cooling off in Kyiv.

At the same time, the State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a number of criminal cases against him: on evasion of mobilization, forgery of NACP documents, illegal use of humanitarian aid, and appropriation of a Nissan Pathfinder jeep that volunteers transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

And recently, the Anti-Corruption Center headed by Shabunin claimed that they used “established contacts” to obtain F-16 fighter jets for Ukraine.
