In Lviv region, police detained a 23-year-old resident of Transcarpathia, who issued herself as a representative of the singer's charity foundation Irina Fedyshyn and made money from the military. Fedyshyn herself reported this in a video address from the police department, published on June 14.
According to the singer, the fraudster acted in the group. They found phones of servicemen who were looking for transport for the front, and under the guise of volunteers promised to hand them cars. In return, they asked to transfer the funds to the fuel for the "car" - and disappeared.
Scheme and investigation
Irina Fedyshyn received the first signal of fraud in April 2025, when one of the deceived defenders turned to her direction. She immediately wrote a statement to the police, and cyber police officers. Within a few weeks, they managed to identify the scammer.
Police have documented several episodes of fraud. In each case, the military transferred from 3.5 to 4.8 thousand hryvnias - and no longer heard nothing from pseudo -pseudongers.
“The malefactor came into contact with the servicemen who sought the car to perform combat missions, was a volunteer of the Irina Fedyshyn Foundation, promised to transfer the car, but demanded that fuel. After the transfer of funds, it disappeared, ”the Lviv police reported.
Criminal liability
The woman was informed of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - fraud committed in a particularly large size or organized group. She faces up to 8 years in prison. The court chose a measure of restraint - detention with the possibility of bail.
Irina Fedyshyn Foundation: Real Affairs Instead of Promises
Against the backdrop of this scam, it is important to emphasize that Irina Fedyshyn's Forests is transparent and has large -scale results. In 2024-2025, more than UAH 12 million was raised thanks to charitable tours in the United States, Canada and Ukraine. More than 160 cars were purchased for these funds for the Armed Forces units-in particular the 80th ODSBR, the Azov Regiment, the 3rd assault, 121th and others.
The singer urged the military and citizens to be careful and to check information about the charity fees only from official sources.
