The NSDC's misinformation center warns of a new fraud scheme aimed at Privatbank cards.
The attackers call from the number (044) -364-53-20, introducing themselves to the employees of the Bank Security Service. They report that in the last 20 minutes, several small transactions in the territory of the aggressor country have been made from the client card.
Fraudsters propose to cancel these operations, issue scammers insurance and require immediately follow their instructions: write down a voice message and provide card data. To increase confidence, they even cite a "personal number", which can seem to be checked on the official site of PrivatBank.
In this way, criminals gain access to customers' personal data to steal funds.
The CPD reminded that bank employees never ask the card number, PIN or CVV code. In case of suspicious calls, contact the bank contact center immediately or report the case of cyber police.
