At the beginning of this week, a significant situation arose in Ukraine related to People's Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko, who is suspected of a serious offense. The Prosecutor General's Office and the State Bureau of Investigation refused to disclose details of the cash seized during the search of the deputy.
The SBI added that they cannot disclose the information of the pre-trial investigation without the written permission of the investigator or prosecutor.
"That's why I said yesterday: leave me my money, I have nothing to live for! I earned it for 30 years, but with these hands! And I didn't take anything from anyone, and I'm proud of that, and my father and my family are proud of that," said the People's Deputy emotionally.
Currently, it is not known what amount of funds the investigators seized from Tyshchenko's house and whether they have been arrested. According to the e-declaration for 2023, People's Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko indicated 5.2 million hryvnias, $45,000 and 22,000 euros in cash. The politician kept UAH 75,000 and $1,500 in his bank accounts.
In February 2024, Tyshchenko declared UAH 12.63 million, which he received from his ex-wife Alla Baranovska as a gift.
After this trial, Tyshchenko was spotted at the five-star Hyatt hotel in Kyiv. The bracelet was put on him only at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, as the procedure for issuing a preventive measure took the time during which Tyshchenko could move around the city.
On June 20, in the center of the Dnipro, a group of people wearing balaclavas and camouflage attacked a former soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pavlov, known by the nickname "Son". The incident occurred after an argument between Pavlov and Tyschenko and his team over their walking around the city with weapons and in military uniform. A policeman from Kyiv, who was later released, also took part in the fight.
The State Bureau of Investigation conducted a search of Tyshchenko and declared him a suspect for illegal deprivation of liberty (Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). During the service of the suspicion, Tyshchenko broke his phone, but the SBI assured that this would not prevent the investigation from obtaining the necessary information. Another person who participated in illegal actions was also suspected, according to Part 2 of Art. 127 and Part 2 of Art. 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The name of this person has not been released.
Earlier, the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko said that all those involved in the incident should be punished, regardless of their positions or connections. And the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, who is Tyshchenko's best man, called the deputy's behavior "absolutely disgraceful."
