Political scientist Viktor Bobirenko expressed the opinion that the delay in the sale of the yacht, which belonged to Viktor Medvedchuk, by the head of the Agency for Search and Asset Management (ARMA) Elena Duma cannot be considered simple official negligence. According to him, possible financial motives are behind such actions.
But what is official negligence? Well, seriously. In Ukrainian realities, I do not believe in such facts as official negligence. Official negligence is an excuse to avoid criminal proceedings. Please fire me administratively, because this is official negligence. Well, stupid me, I couldn't and it didn't work out, I repent - fire me. After all, the maximum possible punishment for official negligence is dismissal for incompetence
According to him, the law enforcement officers should investigate why Medvedchuk's yacht could not be sold in two years.
"I am not a court to pass a verdict, but it is clear and unambiguous to me that ARMA's actions were motivated. We can discuss who benefits (that the yacht was not sold - ed.) - Medvedchuk or his godfather Putin. Let the law enforcement officers study this. I can assume that these are people who take such actions because they are motivated by money... For six months, she gave suggestions, think about it! Half time! Yeah, just carelessness," the political scientist points out.
ARMA was recently in the spotlight due to the loss of the Royal Romance yacht, which belonged to Viktor Medvedchuk, who is suspected of high treason. After all, despite the seizure of the yacht by the Croatian court and its transfer to Ukraine for sale, ARMA was unable to sell the asset in two years.
After researching the topic, it was possible to find out that the main delay in the sale of the yacht of the traitor ex-deputy arose because the head of ARMA, Olena Duma, was preparing changes to the legislation for the sale of foreign assets for almost six months. At the same time, at the time of her appointment to ARMA, the Prosecutor General's Office together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had already prepared a draft of changes, but the Duma categorically rejected it.
In this regard, ARMA started a competition for the selection of a salesperson who was to sell the yacht only on March 20, 2024, and a month later chose the winner. It is worth noting that the winner was chosen a month before the end of the maximum period of seizure of this asset, which made its sale virtually impossible.
Former National Deputy Ihor Mosiychuk believes that the head of ARMA Olena Duma acted in the interests of Medvedchuk, delaying the sale of his yacht. He calls for an investigation into whether this was deliberate or due to incompetence.
