Today is the day when there are several important dates in Ukraine and the world that have both historical and modern importance.
Every year on July 29, Ukraine honors the fallen soldiers of the Special Operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This date is dedicated to the memory of the heroes-specialists who died in the performance of the most dangerous combat missions. Their work often remains unnoticed, but it is these warriors that perform missions that can be fatal for conventional units - on the front, in the rear, in the most difficult directions.
Also on this day is the International Day of Socio -Cultural Diversity and the fight against discrimination. It is reminiscent of the importance of respect for cultures, traditions, views, lifestyles and other people. Fighting discrimination is the protection of the fundamental rights of everyone, regardless of their origin, beliefs or identity.
Another important date is the International Tiger Day, which draws attention to the problem of disappearance of these big cats. Tigers are threatened because of poaching, deforestation and destruction of their environment. The campaigns of this day are aimed at preserving the species and restoring the population in the wild.
On July 29, the believers remember the holy martyr Kalinik. According to legend, he was a Gentile, but when he converted to Christianity, he became a wandering preacher.
