Law enforcement agencies will investigate the incident in which border guards shot a man who tried to illegally cross the state border. This was stated by the communications advisor of the State Bureau of Investigation, Tetyana Sapyan, in a telethon.
She noted that now the border guard faces up to 10 years in prison if the article of the indictment is not changed.
"We will be able to find out more details with you about why this situation happened, whether it could have been avoided, and other circumstances of this incident a little later. The only thing I can say is that if it qualifies under this article, then a serious punishment is provided for it - up to 10 years in prison," the message reads.
