In the near future, the system of booking conscripts will be changed in Ukraine, but the main condition remains the impossibility of paying off mobilization. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a press conference, emphasizing the principles of justice that will be taken into account in the new rules.
Shmyhal emphasized that the military is involved in the reservation issue to ensure transparency and fairness of decisions. He added that economic reservation is not only about the principle of "fight or work" but also about other parameters such as the importance of the enterprise and scarce occupations. The absence of tax debts and the level of wages at enterprises are also taken into account.
"We want to improve the approach to reservations, taking into account three key aspects: creating new jobs, raising wages and returning Ukrainians from abroad," Shmyhal said.
According to the Prime Minister, the government seeks to restore lost economic potential, as Ukraine lost 3.5 million jobs at the start of the full-scale war. The goal is to ensure an adequate level of social security after the end of the war.
The main "red line" of the new reservation system is that it will be impossible to buy off mobilization. The Prime Minister emphasized that every reserved employee should make a significant contribution to the support of the state.
