Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal made important statements regarding the country's energy system, emphasizing the need for rapid changes and programs aimed at improving the situation in this sector.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, said that the situation in the Ukrainian energy system should improve from the 20th of July. The government continues the decentralization of energy and provides support programs for various categories of consumers.
Denis Shmyhal on Facebook announced positive changes in the energy sector for Ukrainians from July 20. "The situation in the energy sector should improve from the 20th of this month. We continue the decentralization of energy. We have support programs for households, condominiums, small and medium-sized businesses, large businesses, so that everyone can install additional generation," said Shmyhal.
According to him, the government provides grants and soft loans for solar panels, windmills and mini thermal power plants. Yuriy Boyko, a member of the Supervisory Board of Ukrenergo, stated that in Ukraine on the 20th of July, fewer lights will be turned off for the population.
According to him, this is due to the removal of a number of energy facilities, including nuclear ones, from repair. The director of energy programs of the Razumkov Center, Volodymyr Omelchenko, also confirms that after July 20, the schedule of permanent blackouts will change. However, less electricity will be turned off, provided that Russia does not attack Ukraine's energy system.
