Shmyhal promised improvements in Ukraine's energy system

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal made important statements regarding the country's energy system, emphasizing the need for rapid changes and programs aimed at improving the situation in this sector.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal stated that the situation in the Ukrainian energy system should improve from July 20th. The government continues to decentralize the energy sector and provides support programs for various categories of consumers.

Denys Shmyhal announced on Facebook positive changes in the energy sector for Ukrainians starting July 20. “The situation in the energy sector should improve starting on the 20th of this month. We are continuing the decentralization of energy. We have support programs for households, condominiums, small and medium-sized businesses, and large businesses so that everyone can install additional generation,” Shmyhal said.

According to him, the government provides grants and preferential loans for solar panels, wind turbines and mini-CHP. The fact that in Ukraine on the 20th of July there will be less power outages for the population was announced by Yuriy Boyko, a member of the supervisory board of Ukrenergo.

According to him, this is due to the withdrawal from repair of a number of energy facilities, including nuclear ones. Director of Energy Programs at the Razumkov Center Volodymyr Omelchenko also confirms that after July 20, the schedules of permanent power outages will change. However, fewer power outages will be made, provided that Russia does not attack Ukraine's power system.
