In the village of Prydnipryanske, Kobelyatsky community, Poltava region, an incident occurred on June 1 that shook local residents: a drunk man opened fire near his house. The police were called by frightened villagers who heard the shots and saw a damaged window in one of the neighboring households.
According to Poltava Region Police Chief Yevhen Rogachev, a 54-year-old local resident fired at least 10 shots, two of which hit a neighbor's window. After law enforcement and bomb disposal experts arrived, it turned out that the shooter kept an arsenal of weapons at home.
Among the seized items:

Kalashnikov light machine gun,

hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher (RPG),

17 charges to him,
-
two pistols (TT and Stechkin),

over 6,000 rounds of various calibers,

more than 50 hand grenades.
Everything seized has been sent for examination. The man has already been declared a suspect, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is currently being decided.
The police classified the attacker's actions under Part 1 of Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) and Part 4 of Article 296 (hooliganism with the use of firearms) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanctions provide for 3 to 7 years of imprisonment.
An investigation is currently underway. Investigators are determining where the man got such a large number of weapons and for what purpose he kept them.
