Switzerland banned the export of ammunition by a Polish company after supplying it to Ukraine

Switzerland has decided to ban the export of ammunition produced by a Polish company after it became known that the ammunition was used in Ukraine. The decision came amid international criticism for violating Switzerland's principles of neutrality with regard to military support in the conflict.

The State Secretariat of the country found out that the Ukrainian company received 645 thousand cartridges through the Polish importer "UMO". It is noted that the manufacturing company was not aware of the further diversion of ammunition, assuming that they would remain in Poland.

"The investigation concluded that the Polish company did not fulfill its contractual obligations to the Swiss manufacturer, and the ammunition ended up in Ukraine."

Switzerland prohibits the export of its military equipment to countries in conflict because of its policy of neutrality.
