Svetlana Loboda found herself at the center of a heated discussion after a concert in Oslo, where her behavior with the Ukrainian flag caused a flurry of criticism online. Despite the fact that the singer is actively returning to the Ukrainian market and has announced her ambitions to fill a stadium in Kyiv, the incident left many questions.
According to the audience, the performance in the capital of Norway was emotional: Loboda actively interacted with the audience, sang her favorite hits and demonstrated strong energy. However, at the end of the show, a moment occurred that caused controversy. When fans handed the artist the flag of Ukraine, the audience, according to eyewitnesses, literally froze in anticipation - everyone hoped that the singer would triumphantly unfurl the flag on stage.
However, it turned out differently: Loboda only held the crumpled cloth in her hands for a few seconds, after which she handed the flag to her dancer, who took it backstage. This gesture was called by many on the Internet as demonstrative disrespect.
Commentators compared the artist's behavior to the actions of world musicians who consistently demonstrate support for Ukraine during concerts. As an example, they mention Imagine Dragons, who unfurl the Ukrainian flag on every European stage and make it part of the show.
However, the audience's reaction was mixed. Some users recalled that Loboda financed the restoration of several houses in Irpin and repeatedly made public statements in support of Ukraine. According to them, the incident in Oslo could have been a banal misunderstanding or confusion on stage.
The situation was also commented on by TV presenter Anatoly Anatolych, the singer's best man and longtime friend. He published a photo of Loboda standing with a yellow-and-blue flag. However, users quickly found out that the frame was dated 2023, when the artist presented a Ukrainian-language album, and this photo has nothing to do with the incident in Oslo.
The discussion continues online, and Loboda's behavior on stage has raised a new round of questions about her attitude towards Ukrainian identity and public position.
