Yesterday evening, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) conducted investigative actions against the commander of the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Oleh Poberezhnyuk. This is reported to sources in law enforcement agencies.
It is noted that the 211 brigade conducted a search at the place of residence of the brigade commander. According to the investigation, in the period from February to July 2024, Poberezhniuk, knowing for sure about the facts of torture and other inhumane treatment by a subordinate officer (Vladislav Pastukh - UNIAN) towards the military personnel, did not react in any way.
According to the UP, a notice of suspicion is being prepared for the brigade commander under part. 4 Art. 426 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – inaction of the military authorities committed under martial law.
