The National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) exposed a corruption scheme by UAH 246 million during the development of the Automation Automation System of the Bell .
The thermal officials of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the director of a private company, which was involved in the development of the system, are involved in theft.
The investigation found that in 2016, the Defense Ministry concluded a contract for the development of a "bell" with the company without the necessary experience. For 4 years the technical task was changed 13 times, the costs increased by UAH 300 million. An additional UAH 115 million was spent due to the unjustified increase in the number of experimental samples.
NABU and SAP found that the "bell" did not meet the technical task, was incompatible with NATO protocols and did not integrate with other military systems.
After the investigation, the involvement tried to hide the documents and accelerated the modernization. The "bell" was adopted in 2022, and in 2024 it was planned to allocate new funding for it. NABU suspects that corruption could continue.
