In Lviv, on April 19, there was another case of tension regarding forced mobilization. On Kobylitsa Street, in front of passers-by, men in military uniform detained and knocked one man to the ground. Witnesses of the incident claim that representatives of the Territorial Selection Centers and the Special Draft Office beat the conscript. At the same time, the Lviv Regional TCC noted the attack on their employees and reminded them of their responsibility for draft evasion.
A video with scenes of mobilization in Lviv quickly spread on the Internet. A woman who witnessed the event claims that the TCC and SP beat the conscripted man, comparing them to Russians. The police were called to the scene. Passers-by came to the defense of the man, preventing the military from taking him into the car. However, in the end, the man simply ran away from the scene. The Lviv Regional Central Committee confirmed the existence of such a mobilization incident. The military promises to conduct an independent investigation, leaving comments that it was their employees who were attacked.
The statement of the military states that the man in the video may be conscripted. He refused the request of TCC representatives to check the data at the local branch. He also reacted sharply and used force against representatives of the TCC. After that, it was decided to call the national police. However, the man did not wait for the arrival of the police and ran away.
Regarding the history of forced mobilization, in September 2023, the network also shared a video from the TCC in Sambor, Lviv region, where military personnel detained a man against his will. The man claimed that he was held in the TCC for six days. The video shows how the soldiers threaten the man with weapons and beat him. The regional leadership of the TCC and SP announced the conduct of an official inspection and suspension of all involved servicemen.
