In the Kiev region, cases of rabies of animals have been recorded - quarantine was announced in dozens of settlements. Restrictions are already in place in Fastiv, Buchan and Obukhiv districts and will last at least until September 2025.
This was reported by the Kyiv Regional State Hospital of Veterinary Medicine.
Raby is an extremely dangerous viral disease that is transmitted through the bite or saliva of the infected animal. Without timely assistance, it is fatal to humans. Cases of infection have been found in different communities of the region, so local authorities have introduced mandatory veterinary and sanitary measures.
Among the main restrictions:

Prohibition on the removal and importation of animals without permission from the quarantine zone;

Prohibition on the participation of animals in exhibitions, fairs, movement between farms;

Compulsory vaccination of all domestic cats and dogs, especially in the foci of infection.
Quarantine acts before the following dates:

Until August 25, 2025: Klutianka, Zabiria, Zhornivka, Knyazhichi, Mikhailovskaya Rubezhivka, Cloch, Shpitky, Bucha, Soap and others.

Until September 4, 2025: Vita-Poshtova, Sinyak, wanted, shepherds, foresters, Novosilki and others.

Until September 21, 2025: Vyshneve, Sofiyivska and Petropavlovskaya Borschagivka, Irpin, Gatne, Boyarka, Belgorodka and more than 15 villages.
Residents are advised:

avoid contact with stray or wild animals;

be sure to vaccinate your pets;

notify the veterinary service of suspicious animal behavior.
Quarantine measures can be continued if the situation does not stabilize.
