For more than two years, Ukraine has been in a full-scale war, triggered by the Russian invasion. During this time, thousands of Ukrainians have joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to defend their country from the occupiers on the battlefield. At the same time, there is a certain number of mobilized citizens who have not yet had the opportunity to go to the front.
This was reported by the head of the "Servant of the People" faction David Arakhamia in an interview with Natalia Moseychuk. According to the MP, the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, has launched an audit of the Armed Forces to determine the number of people who have the status of mobilized, but have not visited the front for two years. The results showed that about 8 thousand mobilized did not participate in combat operations during this period.
Also, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, People's Deputy from the "Servant of the People" Fedir Venislavskyi spoke about the first results of the audit of the Armed Forces. "I raised this issue at one of the closed meetings of the Committee on National Security. If we conduct an audit of military management bodies that do not perform combat missions, we can get at least one or two reserve brigades due to artificially inflated staffs," he explained.
Regarding specific figures, Venislavskyi refrained from disclosing them, but emphasized that they exceed 8 thousand military personnel who have not participated in combat operations until now.
