How much paid a scandalous judge Pavel Vovk after release

Pavel Vovk, the odious chairman of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv (OASK), who has long been considered a symbol of judicial impunity in Ukraine, was officially released only in March 2025. Although the court itself was liquidated at the end of 2022, the wolf continued to receive a generous salary, without holding justice. And these amounts - impress.

As it became known from the released accounting documents of the OASK, only for 2023-2024 and January-February 2025 Pavel Vovk received from the budget UAH 3.52 million. These are payments for the "faithful service" in a court, which, in fact, no longer existed. Among the bonuses - UAH 225.8 thousand per scientific degree, UAH 157.6 thousand for "rehabilitation", UAH 150.5 thousand for a management position, as well as a supplement for work with state secrets - UAH 109.4 thousand.

In total, in these two years, 43 judges of the OASK (who remained in the state) received more than UAH 157 million from the budget. And this is despite the fact that the court did not carry out cases.

The name of the wolf became known to the whole country after a loud scandal with "NABU films". In 2019-2020, detectives published records from the Cabinet of the OASK chairman, where the judges openly discussed the influence on other judicial authorities, "necessary decisions" and the schemes of control over the High Council of Justice and the High Qualifications Commission of Judges.

The wolf, in particular, stated that "in the judiciary it is necessary to manage not the law, but to political expediency." According to the investigation, the judges made decisions in the interests of political elites and business groups, turning the OASK into a tool of influence.

But this is not over. On the eve of a full -scale invasion of Russia, in 2022, the court took the claim ... Viktor Yanukovych. The fugitive expsite tried to challenge his removal from office in 2014. The case was drawn to April 2022, and there are suspicions that the judges deliberately "marinated" it in anticipation, as the situation on the front would be.

Despite the loud expositions, the Verkhovna Rada only voted in December 2022 for the liquidation of the OASK. However, Pavel Vovk himself remained in the state of the judiciary for more than two years. In the end, in March 2025, he was released due to a significant disciplinary misconduct. But it was done when all the "weekends" were already paid.

We will remind, the liquidation of the OASK became the initiative of President Vladimir Zelensky after numerous investigations, in which the court appeared as the main instrument of judicial corruption. However, as you can see, Themis's servants themselves came out of this process not with empty hands.
