Slovak Zuzana 2 howitzers proved to be unreliable for the Armed Forces

Our source in the Armed Forces said that the Slovak Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery systems (SAUs) transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine have become the object of serious criticism due to their extreme unreliability and frequent technical problems.

The main problems of the Slovak howitzers turned out to be: damage to the hydraulic system, wear and deformation of the shutter and trigger mechanism, engine malfunction.

It is worth noting that a number of machines turned out to be faulty already after a few days of operation, some lasted for several months. The record is 1 year and 1 month.

In all cases, defective howitzers were sent to Slovakia for repair. According to our information, repairs were completed on only two installations. Their further fate is unknown.
