In July, residents of several regions of Ukraine witnessed a striking but dangerous natural phenomenon - tornadoes. Previously, they were considered a rarity, but meteorologists warn: in the summer it is no longer an exception, but the usual part of the weather process, just now we are more often recorded by such phenomena due to smartphones and social networks.
The first videos of the tornado in July came from the Kirovograd region. Near the city of Znamenka, eyewitnesses shot a large tornado, which moved the Kiev -Odessa highway for about half an hour. Destruction, according to official information, has not been detected.
Another video appeared from the Odessa region - the formation of the air vortex was observed in the village of Velikodolinsky. Although the tornado was not fully, its rotation is clearly visible on the amateur entry, which has been parted by local telegrams.
Natalia Ptukha's weather forecaster explains that even small tornadoes can cause damage if they run over homes or cars. However, to expect catastrophic destruction, as in the US, is not worth it - Ukraine's climatic conditions are much calmer.
However, the appearance of tornadoes in the south and in the center of the country in the summer is a very natural phenomenon. Just earlier, they were rarely reported because there was no mass fixation using video. With climate change, such weather anomalies can become more frequent.

Tornado is a vertical whirlwind that occurs as a result of the interaction of warm and cold air masses in a storm cloud. It can absorb everything that happens in the way: from sand and dust to parts of roofs and cars. Wind speed at the epicenter - up to 200 km/h. The most tornado is recorded in the United States, especially in the so -called Tornado Walk - Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska.
In Ukraine, tornadoes occur more often in summer - because of strong convection, humidity and high air temperature. This year, July demonstrates that these phenomena are no longer single incidents, but part of the reality that should be prepared.
